This edition of Drum Rhythm Night features the eight-piece live formation of France’s St Germain (aka Ludovic Navarre) who is currently enjoying the success of his new album ‘Tourist’. He produces an ultimately grooving and loungey take on black American music where jazz, funk and house are seamlessly fused together. DJs LX Pacific, Radar, Josz and Le Funcubine are also on hand to ensure that the dancing continues until dawn.

There’s no Glastonbury or Reading Festival in the former Soviet Union. Instead a disused nuclear power station in the Crimea hosts a dance festival every August that draws thousands for a debauched fortnight. For those left in Moscow, Territoriya has its own version of ‘Passport to Pimlico’, Kazantip Republic. The club plays the role of the city’s official embassy, hosting the best DJs left behind or returning for rehabilitation. The club is one of the coolest in Moscow, although having Head & Shoulders as a sponsor may have dented that somewhat.
